2019 iPhones Unlikely To Get USB-C But Will Support Two-Way Wireless Charging

It has been long-rumored that iPhone will switch to USB-C soon, such rumors have been around for at least two years, and this year is no exception. Nevertheless, a rumor from Chinese site Zol have suggested that the iPhone XI won't get USB-C, so don't expect a change to the way of how you charge iPhones.

The report went on by saying that one new feature it might get is two-way wireless charging, allowing you to use the iPhone XI as a charging pad for other devices. In order to fully utilize this feature, Apple will deliver notable battery improvements. Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has predicted that the iPhone XI's battery will be roughly 20-25% larger than the iPhone XS's 2,658mAh battery.

At the same time, the iPhone XI Max is also expected to get extra 10-15% battery capacity than the 3,174mAh in the iPhone XS Max, while the second generation of the iPhone XR will see a 5% increases in terms of battery life compared to the iPhone XR. This obviously can't be happened without making the phone thicker, so it's expected that 2019 iPhones will become bulky.

The new iPhone can even be used in the rain, and that Apple is experimenting with a new technology that allows you to use your iPhone underwater. In addition, multiple renders and mockups have indicated that both iPhone XI and iPhone XI Max will feature the triple-lens camera system, whereas the XR successor to sport a dual-lens camera.
